About Me
I am a full-time graphic designer and long-time fan of visual culture. I have worked in the graphic design industry for more than 10 years. My first five years were spent in publishing. Starting in 2007, I’ve worked at a nonprofit and specialize in branding and communications-related pieces. I pride myself on building and maintaining relationships with all parties invloved in a project, from the editor all the way to the printer; after all, design is art born from a group of people.
My Philosophy
“Good design is transparent; it moves the viewer without being obvious.”
By this, I mean that the viewer should feel something other than “what a cool design” when looking at a piece. Sometimes they should find themselves drawn to the design; other times they should not even notice the design but marvel at how easily the piece communicates to them. The designer’s ultimate objective is to know when to make the design bold or subtle and to ensure the message is effortlessly communicated.
